ABOUT ME

As an international student studying abroad in the US, I am very willing to meet with new people and develop new relationships to get that whole experience of being in a foreign country. I am currently studying Communications and Computer Science at Denison, but I'm not really sure about my career path yet. I love my school because it is a liberal arts college which allows me to study in various different academic disciplines and explore subjects that I haven't known before.

This semester, I am studying in Copenhagen, Denmark through the DIS Study Abroad program. I feel grateful for this experience of new culture, academic focus, and especially independent travel. I am trying to make the most of my time by visiting as many European cities as possible!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to stay in your shell. Try to make conversation with new people every once in a while to know what are offered out there and what you're missing.

Interests

I am interested in traveling (obviously), music, sports, technology, entrepreneurship and cultural diversity. I play guitar and sing. I also play recreational soccer and tennis often. I love to study computer science, digital communication, and entrepreneurship. I catch up with most recent news in the world, especially tech-related industries, as I am a huge fan of tech start-up, business and new ventures. Most importantly, I enjoy learning about other cultures and their uniqueness as well as difference compared to mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be honest, this whole being in America thing has been amazing to me over the last 4 years I studied here. I've been traveling and seen things that I could never dreamed of experiencing before when I was still in Vietnam. I'm blessed to be able to continue this path and keep seeing what more this experience might offer me.

Now I am blessed with the opportunity to study in Denmark and travel around Europe to meet new people and experience different cultures.

Teach, Learn, Share

* I can teach you how to speak Vietnamese, how to do multi-variable calculus, how to ride a bike, how to use the chopsticks, how to play guitar, how to truly enjoy a soccer game and how to define your own interests if you haven't found one!

* I desperately want to learn how to speak another language; how to be a great programmer, how to pack a suitcase for a 2 week-long trip, how to tie a tie, how to play pool, how to make an American joke (how to be funny actually) and (save the best for last) how to come up with a good pick-up line when meeting a pretty girl ;)

I am genuinely interested in meeting new people during my travel throughout Europe these next few months and learning more about the places that I have not been to. I'd love to share with you things I am good at, tell stories about my personal lives, and listen to your interesting stories about things you're passionate about.
