About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make each day worthwhile

ABOUT ME

I am married to a French woman whom I met 25 years ago while on a bicycle tour of the Loire Valley. Married 24 years. We have two daughters, 19 and 22. The younger is a sophomore (marketing major) and the older is a senior (music business major) attending Georgia State University in Atlanta.

We have traveled a fair amount with our daughters in the US, Canada, and in Europe. They have also been to Peru and Saint Martin with us.

We live in a suburban neighborhood in Forsyth County, about 40 miles north of Atlanta's downtown.

Our house is also inhabited by one cat.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live - not religious

I'm a social liberal and fiscal conservative.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm well read in lots of genres. Esp. like historical fiction, espionage/thrillers, classics. I'm on goodreads.com, userid kvom to see books I've read and/or reviewed.

Same taste in movies as books. Best film I've seen this year is "Into The Woods".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked to Mt. Kailash in Tibet for the Kora in 1998. Since then I've returned to Nepal 3 times for trekking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent my working life as a software developer. On retirement I took classes in machining and built a shop in my garage. Have almost completed a 7.5" gauge live steam locomotive.
