About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Touring the corners of Deutschland

ABOUT ME

Chilled, easy-going student who's spent summers in Italy building concrete roads, strawberry picking and looking after herds of Italian children.
Want to try something new a meet people from all over the world! (Very unlike the majority of this community, I know..)

PHILOSOPHY

The simplest things are the sweetest. Enjoying the little perks in life and not to focusing on the shit.
I enjoy getting into debates that I probably don't fully understand :D
But when it comes to something I'm passionate about I won't back down.

Each place you visit is not better or worse, it's just different.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy sleeping on people's floors. Being a student for the last 3 years it is expected when visiting friends, so why not do it at complete strangers houses :D
Want to hear all the good and bad about this ingenious idea, whether at your place or mine!

Interests

Laughing at stupid puns, Youtubing dogs trying to walk in socks, hearing about friends' crazy travel stories, exaggerating mine to make them sound just as insane, having international friends so I have places to visit on holiday ;) (and of course keep in touch with them because I love them dearly)
Camping and Festivals
But my main interest is Languages. Currently studying German and Italian, but would love to learn more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

German (in German, and culture-related) - Keinohrhasen, Zweiohrküken, Kokowääh, Inglorious Basterds (not just Til Schweiger films, honestly), Black Book, The Blue Angel, Aimée & Jaguar, Cabaret, The Pianist

French - I Killed My Mother, Amélie,

British - Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Harry Potter

Music:

Indie, R&B, Electronic, 80s and 90s!
Arctic Monkeys, SBTRKT, Disclosure, Stromae, Haim, Drake, Frank Ocean, Spice Girls, Spandau Ballet, Justin Timberlake, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lemar, Kate Bush... TOO MANY.
I love going to festivals and gigs. Want to discover what mainland Europe has to offer on the festival front as I have been to English ones for the past 4 years :D

Books:

White Teeth - Zadie Smith.
Those explaining German Grammar are my absolute favourite of course. But I do own too many German idioms/rude words/different customs books to handle. Also Harry Potter or Jaqueline Wilsons in German or Italian are always fun ones to try and get through :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent the last 4 months in Germany - an experience I will never forget. Settling into a new country and way of life is something amazing, and something you can't imagine until you've done it yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think Couchsurfing is all about sharing cultures, places and languages. So this is what I want to do!
I am going to tell the truth in that I'm not a brilliant cook, artist or rocket builder. But I try my best and am always up for learning something new :D

Countries I’ve Visited

Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Italy, United Kingdom
