About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To die having lived

ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old. In December 2011 I experienced a week that blew my mind right open and changed my outlook on life forever. One of my favourite things in the world is storytelling - I love hearing stories and I love telling stories. With an open mind, I want to create the best stories possible, and hear the best ones ever told.

PHILOSOPHY

Embrace embarrassment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the last couple of years I've met quite a few couchsurfers. I've only just joined, so I don't have any of my own experiences, but I'll briefly discuss a few! One of my best friends is a couchsurfer who has travelled the world spreading her positivity and done volunteer work in Kenya. I drove another to Rainbow Serpent last year - he was a French-Canadian chef who spends six months of the year cooking for a millionaire artist in Quebec and the other six months travelling. And the first couchsurfer I ever met was a massive U2 fan who used couchsurfing as a means of seeing as many U2 concerts in as many different places as he could.

Interests

Storytelling. Storyhearing. Music, specifically electro, good rock and hip-hop. Drinking. Meeting new people. Having a fucking good time. Talking passionately about people's passions, whatever they may be.

Music, Movies, and Books

My five favourite music artists of all time are U2, Radiohead, David Bowie, Outkast and Pink Floyd.

My favourite movies are Anchorman, The Castle, Shawshank Redemption, Django Unchained and The Social Network.

My favourite book/play is The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have survived a full moon party on my own. Not that great. I hope to fill this space with something much better. I've seen and done a lot of amazing things but they are not on grandiose, world scales!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show people how to embrace embarrassment, overcome fears and just do things. Mum always told me - the scariest things in life often turn out to be the best.
