Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up to couchsurfing while living in Korea as a couple of my friends were often hosting couchsurfers and I really enjoyed spending time with them and showing them around the city we lived in. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to host many couchsurfers yet because of my work. I have spent the last 2 years mostly living out of hotels which makes it almost impossible to host anyone. However, I try to meet up with couchsurfers in each city that work sends me to. It is a great way make friends and learn about a city from the locals.

I am currently based in Doha, but am working in South Africa and am not able host, but I do enjoy meeting up with couchsurfers travelling through Doha and showing them around the city when I’m there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to narrow it down to one.
Trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, visiting the DMZ in South Korea, walking along the Great Wall of China in Jinshanling, sky diving over the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the Sandakan War Memorial in Borneo, snorkelling with manta rays in Bali, white water rafting down the Nile in Uganda, climbing Kilimanjaro, sailing the coast of Croatia, seeing the midnight sun in the arctic circle.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm... I'm not too sure what I can offer, but I do love to run, swim and cycle. I pretty much like anything outdoors. So if you are into running, hiking or going to the beach I will gladly do those things with you.
