About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet as many traveling people as I can, learn from them before traveling myself.
ABOUT ME
The beach is my second home, I feel as comfortable paddling out into the waves as I do getting dressed in the morning. I'd rather go on an adventure than sit at home, no matter how lame the adventure sounds. Everything's better when friends and family are around. Really interested in the earth and how it works and is all interconnected, and where people fit in to it. I also love a good challenge and can be real competitive (but not so competitive that I make it no fun!) and just like to test myself and push boundaries to grow as a person.
Other than that, I'd really like to expand my circle of friends and acquaintances through Couchsurfing, eventually be able to travel myself as much as possible. Come by sometime!
PHILOSOPHY
Friends and family are most important, especially those you haven't met yet. Be kind and open to others, and you'll get the same back no matter who it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was back packing in New Zealand I had the opportunity to explore a lava tube on Rangitoto Island. The tube was probably 8 feet circular on the inside when we entered, smooth walls with gravel floor. There was a large collapsed roof section that had a slender tree growing from the bottom of the lava tube floor up through the hole in the roof. Some friends and I climbed down into the tube and walked/crawled for about 200 feet into total blackness, like absolutely no light. I sat down at one point and just sort of let my mind wander. There was no sound except for breathing, no light to see by. After a days full of exploring and sightseeing around the island and all the crazy stuff it had to offer, this lava tube totally relaxed me and calmed me down a lot. Super cool experience.
