About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To surf giants! Jokes! Do what I can with what I have, wherever I am

ABOUT ME

Born and bred in Bristol, UK. I left when I was 18 to study Marine Biology at Plymouth University and have since lived all over the UK, traveling as much as I can. I think the best people to describe 'yourself' are you're friends and family - the people that know you the best and are closest to you and probably know you better than yourself sometimes. So I asked my closest friends and family to describe me in one word, the first that came to mind. This is what I got back:

Determined, totesamazeballs, adventurous, fit, superkalafragelistikexpealidotious, freespirit, friendly, calm and smurf. This last one (smurf) was put together from the words: small + surfer = smurf!

I promise I have not filtered these at all. I think I need to remind some of my friends of the English dictionary but to be fair I didn't specify real words.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is not about counting down the days, its how you make the most of each day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am looking for couches whilst I travel inbetween working offshore but as soon as I get my own place in the UK would love to start hosting as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie.

Interests

From my profile pictures its probably quite obvious that windsurfing is right up there at the top of my list of interests, but I generally like any watery related sports. This is because I love the sea. I work on the sea, play on the sea and hopefully one day will live by the sea. I studied as a marine biologist and later as a marine mammal biologist so have taken my love of the sea with me in my career and am interested in conserving it and everything in it.

Away from the sea and on dry land I just enjoy spending time with friends and family and enjoy watching Rugby - a sport I have grown up watching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with a humpback whale and its baby in Australia completely accidentally and sky diving! Incredible!
