About Me

I can't stay in one place for too long. Always looking for new adventures and always learning from people and surroundings. I'm the type of person who needs to compare and relate in order to learn about myself. I would describe myself as kind, empathetic, and sensitive, I'm also pretty silly. I believe that everyone is constantly growing and changing and that it's ok to change your opinions as you grow. I'm open to learning, sharing, and developing myself and I try to view the world in a positive light and to create good energy. I don't put up with any sort of discrimination, you know like racism, sexism, or homophobia, so please don't message me if you're secretly any of those things. Or not secretly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The concept of welcoming a stranger into your house is something beautiful that websites like Couchsurfing have made easier for us to do. I think that Couchsurfing is a good way to travel on a budget but more importantly to genuinely experience the culture of a new place and the people from around the world. I think that a free welcoming home is a little thing that means so much especially with the media reminding us that everyone's a serial killer and no one is safe.

*I'm not a serial killer

Interests

Maybe it's weird to say that I'm really interested in people or maybe it's like "duh she likes to travel, obviously she's into people" but I genuinely really like people if that's a thing. I guess I'm also very into cooking and food which is cool because I can tell people that instead of telling them that "I like people". I'm interested in learning and creating and building myself as a person and I'm intrigued by things I don't know and can learn. I love hearing people's stories and learning through art, food, and the big ol' world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiking around Europe, Canada, and Morocco and witnessing how amazingly kind people can be. The mountains in British Colombia are amazing; the ocean is pretty amazing too.

Also New York pizza. Amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk to you about my culture (which is super interesting). I can tell you about myself and my experiences and hopefully you can do the same! I can cook for you and teach you how to dye your hair every colour!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I understand that I am guest in someone's home and I think that it's super important to respect their schedules and house rules. I have a sleeping bag, tent, and mat if necessary and I make it a point to clean up after myself and keep tidy - mostly because I'm not an asshole. I've stayed with some hosts who are busy with school or work and I've stayed with some who have time to hang out and see the city with me. Whatever the situation is I'm always down to share food, laughs, stories, and a few beers!
