About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moldova in April, Turkey, Kurdistan, Iraq and Iran in summer;

ABOUT ME

I look not only accomodation and sometimes this is not most important for me. Mor important is to meet people, talk and get more knowledge about life in the countries I visit. I have visited more then 90 countries and this is really what I love: studying the world, talking with people, learning the culture. I travel to see the real world and like to share experiences with people who have similar interest, passion. I can volunteer. In 2010 I gave, as a volunteer lectures in Kivu province in Democratic Republic of Congo.
I have a travel blog www.ulixess.blogspot.com but it is only in Polish. I have also a travel page on Facebook that is partially in English https://www.facebook.com/ulixestraveler?ref=hl . And yet a site on http://thebesttravelled.com/en/travellersSingle/witold .

PHILOSOPHY

Travel means learning the world. Visiting a country means not only visiting nature and historical places but first of all meet people, talk to them and learn their ideas, desires, problems.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most memorable experiences was my travel through Virunga National Park in North Kivu Province in Democratic Republic of Congo. I went there to see wild life on the shores of Lake Edward but instead I experienced something much more important and interestnig: I had a great lesson of DRC reality. I was interrogated 3 times for many hours, nearly robbed by one soldier and had a lot of luck as the same day rebels attacked the same road I traveled. And those views on volcanoes, i will never forget that day. Two quite different but also memorable experiences were to see fenek (desert fox) in Mauritania and to see halo in Niger. Of course on deep desert.
