ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Katie, and I am in love with trying new things, traveling, and meeting new people. I graduated with a degree in residential Interior Design, and am currently working in a European boutique/bistro while I finish up with a few random classes. I plan to buy and flip houses once I start work in my career field. Up to this point I have done several free lance designs. My biggest dream is to travel the world. My friend told me about this site the other day at work, and I couldn't wait to try it out! I am a very friendly laid back person. I love to laugh and hang out with friends. I love the outdoors, and staying active, as well as go have a few drinks with friends sometimes. I usually work during the day, and am free in the evenings around 5pm. I have two couches, as well as a futon, for sleeping arrangements. I am right off of the exit for the interstate, and within walking distance of the busses. I can also help with transportation when I'm not working. If any more questions feel free to ask!

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that some pursue happiness, while others create it. I want to live every moment up because life is short. In an instant everything can change. I love my life, and love finding new and interesting ways to live it. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used this site before, but I did stay with a French host in Normandie for two and a half weeks last Summer. I had the time of my life! It was apart of a study abroad program.

Interests

I love volleyball, the lake, camping, bowling, tennis, movies, game nights, cooking, arts and crafts, kickboxing, yoga, going out with friends, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of music. I love and appreciate all different types of it. My favorite genres include rock(all types, modern, classic, metal, punk) rap, dubstep, etc. I'm not a huge fan of country, but still like a few songs. I'm open to anything. I love watching movies. A few of my favorites include Smokin Aces, Boondock Saints, Stepbrothers, Anchorman, and Ghostship.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My study abroad program to Normandie, and Paris, France was the most amazing time of my life. We did different sports every day, and dove face first into the French culture. I will never forget those wonderful memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to show people the beauty of east Tennessee, whether it be in the city, at the lake, or in the beautiful mountains here. I can teach skills including volleyball, cooking, watersports, horseback riding, and any kind of art or design skills, etc. I'm up to learning anything from my future hosts!
