About Me

KINDA AVAILABLE (Only take up short stays / UNAVAILABLE 10 - 13/11)

Celebrating 1 year in the Netherlands, still settling but things are progressing well, let's share impressions about the Dutchies :P

CURRENT MISSION

Living and learning (.. and finishing the manuscript of my PhD :P)

ABOUT ME

Curious one, always searching for something interesting and new. I'm an RF engineer, going through the products that just might let you have a proper 5G connection on your phone.
I'm was PhD student in France, trying to understand EM waves while wondering what are interpersonal relationships in general too. I was part of the volunteer group Scouts et Guides en France, yep like the scouts in those movies haahaha.
As I'm living in the Netherlands right now, why not go around Europe and the world?!

PHILOSOPHY

[OLD] My own interpretation of the "stoic apathy".
Now I'm into "Leviathan" from Hobbes, asking myself what is the role of the collective in human existence and how the "State" came to be as consequence.
[NEW] Got into a more introspective vibe, asking myself what is what and what is not.. Conscience, motivation and the subjective nature of purpose and fulfilment.
[UPDATE] I have got in mind the discussion on the concept of "nothing" and how emotions deserve way more importance to existential experience over a presumptuous notion of "rational being", which is far from human reality, as far as I'm concerned.

These questions and more are all open to your views.. Or not, who cares, let's just grab a beer, am I right ?? :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just hope to meet interesting people while traveling, or even when hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS contacts helped directly in many places, both in Europe and Brazil! Amazing people! Happy to know there are individuals like that around.

Interests

Anything that catches my attention is potentially interesting! Well, i do have a unrequited love for Quantum Mechanics because it's so different/weird and real! My interests follow this line: different and real. Oh right, I like many types of music(from MPB to some Metal subgenres), it depends on the mood, i see it like my life's OST.

There's also this thing with Arts.. It feels kind of mysterious, i don't know why but i really like to interact with it(see, hear, touch). Those who make it, for me, are strange beings and i feel motivated to experience at least a little bit of what they live.

I've found recently that i really like dancing!! Hahaha I intend to dance a looot in my travels, i just need some music haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Watchmen, Kill Bill, Oldboy, Fullmetal Jacket, Blue Valentine...
Special place in my cinephilic heart to Robert Eggers with "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse"

Chico Buarque(until 70s), Apocalyptica, Led Zeppelin, Muse... And nowadays I have a more indie rock tendency

Books?! Hah starting with Harry Potter and going through Dan Brown, I've ended up reading about physics, philosophy (like a timeline of prominent thoughts to ethics) and circuits, electromagnetism and calculus hahaha! Now it's all about scientific articles and patents and rather obscure EM books.
Nowadays, I've got into proper commute reading and I'm definitely into Fantasy & Sci-Fi! But just recently got into Non-Fiction.. Like the history of scientific revolutions :P
