ABOUT ME
I'm a 24 year old from Bristol UK, live for music, concerts and festivals. I like my music fast, angry and heavy! There's more to me than just the music though ;) I've lived in a bookshop since the age of 3, couldn't imagine a life without reading. I can be quite shy but once I get to know you I'm pretty friendly, hehe.
PHILOSOPHY
No matter how bad things get, there is ALWAYS something to live for!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: fast n heavy! metalpunk, crust punk, black/death/doom metal, digital hardcore, grindcore. Favourite bands include Nuclear Death Terror, Carnivore, Doom, Atari Teenage Riot, Type O Negative, Midnight, My Dying Bride. Also partial to orchestral music.
Movies: mainly splatter/horror. I know they're immature but I have a massive soft spot for Troma movies (ie Class of Nuke em High, Toxic Avenger, Poultrygeist etc). Early Peter Jackson movies too - Braindead, Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles. Basically anything with proper oldschool effects - no CGI!
books: whoa, where to start? I love a lot of stuff written in 1800s (Huysmans, Gautier, the Bronte sisters, Wilde). Romantics and Decadents totally hit the spot! Also enjoy reading philosophy - a particular favourite is Rousseau, although a lot of what he says is flawed. Doing my degree I particularly enjoyed doing the philosophy of art, and environmental philosophy. Also into dystopian fiction. Read a few modern authors too - Stephen King is good, and Michel Faber's The Crimson Petal and the White is definitely in my top 10! Ah I could go on forever, you'll just have to come look at my bookshelves!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was part of the orchestra performing Verdi's Requiem. Such a powerful piece of music, and an incredible experience to have been a part of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basic violin skills. I also know a lot of great bars, record stores and secluded natural spots in Bristol.
Getting pretty good at vegan cooking, would love to share recipes and meals!
