About Me

CURRENT MISSION

friendships all over the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty easy to get along with, honestly I think I could get along with almost ANYONE! I relate well to a lot of different types of people, I'm adaptable and I make the most of environments... comfortable, happy and real in all types of situations. I also think I'm a bundle of contradictions...both a talker and a listener...a loner and a social butterfly...super chill and low key or really wild and crazy, depending on the day...I love running around SF being a city slicker just as much as I love being totally isolated in nature. I try to re-invent myself pretty frequently without ever straying too far from the core.

As some couchsurfers have pointed out to me over the months, i am "a pretty typical nor cal westcoast chick."

PHILOSOPHY

All you need is love.
Everything happens for a reason.
I'm a hardcore give a little, take a little, what-goes-around-comes-around type of person...whatever that means.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, parties, getting people together, you name it...I'm looking to get more and more involved as time goes on. I effortlessly promote the project through showing everyone around me how cool it is, everyday!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted about 30 people now... I've surferd in L.A. & British Colombia. I learn something new from each new person and place.

Music, Movies, and Books

lonely planet guide books!

Musically, i am very open.you'll most likely catch me listening to latin pop, hip hop, indie rock or ambient/trip hop stuff...maybe a little 80s music and a female vocalist here and there. i like electronic music (mainly deep house) and that whole party/festival scene as well.

I like film a lot, it is probably the form of media I connect with most strongly. mainly indie/foreign genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

currently in the midst of bouncing around India & Southeast Asia on my own. 10 months in.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about a lot, I guess you could say. I speak English and Spanish, I love talking about language and helping others with it. I worked as an english teacher in SF. I am a barista and can make fancy espresso drinks!

I'm a pretty okay cook but I can't be bothered to get my act together most nights unless somebody holds me to it...my specialty is tortilla espanola, and I can teach you how to make it, too (it's not easy!)

I know a lot about sewing and crafting, and quite a bit about the psychology/counseling and social work field as well. As previously referenced, Frida Kahlo is my idol, my icon. I can tell you her story if you so desire.

And needless to say - I think I can make some pretty bad ass recommendations as to how you could spend your time in SF.
