About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to meet kind, honest, and interesting people, which will enable me to experience different cultures and languages. I would like to share my travel with locals who could help me navigate the area.

ABOUT ME

I don't know what people want to know about me. I wrote enough in
the other boxes. I think I am a kind generous human being. I am not into myself so you wouldn't have to worry about me saying," Wait before..... Let me take a selfie". I love my family beyond words. One of my daughters gets jealous over my dog, but they can't speak, like her ( thank God hahaha). I love horses and in fact my father had to carry me inside at night, because my favorite place to sleep was with my horse. He'd curl up and I'd sleep on his neck in the corral ( don't tell me I wasn't a horse!). Then to my mothers dismay my dainty pink curtains had green spots from my horse opening his corral and putting his head in my window at night. I grew up with twin brothers and thought I could do anything they could and better! But my mother made me look like a lady. Hahaha! Of course I was the female Zorro or the Lone Ranger on my faithful steed.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life with no regrets, so when I think back I will have a clear conscience. We are all here for a short while and we should all try to be decent human beings . There are so many people who I care deeply about who have cancer or are in a difficult situation. I try to be there for them. I don't dwell on I should have done this or that. I want to be able to say to myself I did what I could and it was right. I love life, dispute the tribulations that we all face in various forms.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Participate? Not sure what this question is asking. If it refers to couch surfing I will make sure I do not mess up anyone's house ( I am very clean by nature - Virgo), I will respect others, I will help with cooking, or cleaning. One should leave an area as found or better. If you were to stay in my house I would expect people to pick up after themselves, and not be a pig. If you brought your children over I would expect them to be well mannered, not run around the inside of my house, and yell and scream (just good old- fashion morals and values). You would have your privacy and I would be willing to show you around the area and depending on the time of year traveling out of the state ( to say California Disney or Colorado, etc) could be a possibility.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted Sam and Sully from the UK for a week while they put on a British Soccer Camp for kids in May 2014.

I also have had three wonderful experiences couch surfing in Germany with Lawrence, Georgina in Athens ( who is not part of CS) , and Greece with Larissa.

I love making new friends and learning about their cultures. The only bad thing has been leaving and having to say bye. The good thing is that they are now friends and we keep in contact.

Interests

Writing poems/songs/children's books, English equitation ( hunter seat), fishing, camping, cooking, guitar, piano, hiking, and dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies are old 1940 classics, cowboy, pirates, etc. (Pirates of the Caribbean, Gone with the Wind, Harry Potter, I Love Lucy). As for music - I love music any type, just not especially fond of rap. I hear drums and it is difficult to contain myself. My students laugh, because every morning the principal plays music - we'll lets put it this way - I dance - we dance - haha- . Jitterbug I need a partner right! Books - between grading papers and reading professional material, hardly leaves me personal time to read. When I have time, I read travel books, children books/ chapter books with my son, various magazines, french learning books, cookbooks ( oh yeah!), etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many amazing things ( hot air ballooning, ride steam trains in the Rocky Mountains, grew up with horses, etc.) I have seen in my lifetime, too many to list. But, the most amazing moment I am waiting for is going to Europe. I am trying to relearn French. I think when you learn different languages - that's amazing, because you can communicate with more people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy meeting caring people who have a sense of humor and respect others. I enjoy learning how to cook different foods from others. I want to learn as many languages as I can, especially French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a loving home, cooking, and driving you around.
