About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore travel and experience as many places as possible and learn about the culture of these places and have fun doing so and let's be real probably enjoying a few beer among the way.
ABOUT ME

I am very chill, relaxed and generally outgoing. I love to have a good time and experience new things. I was an athlete in college so I'm generally an active energetic person. I’m open minded and love to be taught new things about subjects I didn’t previously know a lot about. I’m very interested in international/global events and human rights are something I care deeply about, for all people.

PHILOSOPHY

Wanderlust. Live life everyday like it's your last and have experiences to last a lifetime. You'll never regret spending a dollar and replacing it with a memory. Life is about experiences, being kind to fellow man, helping when you can, and leaving things better than when you arrived.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There’s no better tool to navigating a foreign city than a local’s knowledge and perspective. Seriously, it’s like trying to navigate without a map. It makes no sense. I enjoy knowing the best non-tourist places to get drinks, food, or great places to go. Previously: I had a great experience surfing in Paris the last time I went but I didn’t get to explore as much as I wanted hence why I’m back! I also had a wonderful experience surfing in Ghent while visiting Brussels where locals gave me great places to go. My latest experience was surfing in Dublin was superb, it seems like each it gets better and better. My host showed me around the city a bit before I departed the next day and was super kind. Would love to surf more with people that enjoy exchanges knowledge and experiences over a beer or coffee.

Interests

Exploring, seeing and experiencing new things. Having a great time, including going out and experiencing night life. I love seeing historical places, beautiful places, cultural experiences, - learning about people and places, and trying the native beer of places. Okay but seriously.. I have a thing for beer... I collect beer glasses, try native beers in their places, collect the coasters to be framed, and love visiting breweries, and generally beer. Ha but I also love visiting festivals and immersing in local culture and trying local foods and seeing the natural history of what is around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an eclectic . Love most genres and always okay with good recommendations. Love some good electronic or unusual stuff Reggaetón stuff, AnnenMayKantereit, Lana Del Rey, Andy Grammer, but also love classic stuff like Stevie Nicks, Queen, Billy Joel, etc. totally random. Also, I’m up for good book recommendations, love classic literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in the heart of Cologne's party street and watching Germany win the World Cup and celebrating it with the Germans.. Among other things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy all kinds especially people different from me. I want to learn as much as possible and am always willing to try almost anything. I always love new experiences in general whether it's trying food, beer, or a museum I'm usually always excited about it. For example, I met some awesome people in Germany the last time I was here and now I've come back a year later to hang out with them again. I also would appreciate any recipes to pass along as well! I am also more than happy to pass along some great recipes of stuff I have! All you have to do is ask!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My culture, experiences, recipes, and random subject matter like law, politics, history etc. I work at a law firm as a paralegal or a lawyers assistant working on pharmaceutical litigation so it’s pretty interesting. I have a a lot of useless information about a lot of stuff. I like cooking so recipes! I would love knowing about some recipes from other countries/cultures. I also enjoy hearing about travel stories as well. Also, I know a lot about beer as you can see in the interests column... like a lot.

For the record: I did NOT vote for this asshole we have now, for the record most of us actually hate him. I’m sorry! :(
