ABOUT ME

Grew up in the back woods of Arkansas in the US after living my first 3 years in the St. Louis slum where that big arch now stands. Did a 3 year stint in the US army including a 13 month tour in S. Korea where I learned to cuss fluently, request food, beer and cigarettes. Have resided in Washington for 3 decades, traveled in 49 US states (still lack Alaska, not a priority), visited most of the Mexican border towns adjoining California and Texas, made a couple of trips in Canada, a cruise and brief stay in the Bahamas and several trips to Brasil, visiting in Brasilia, Natal, Joao Pessoa, Salvador, Ouro Preto, Belo Horizonte, Formosa and Manaus. Now... to open my mind, learn something of life's variables, should I decide on a life style?

Not sure I have ever done anything amazing. Maybe interesting (some of these interesting things required extended interactions with orthopedic surgeons). Saw a couple of lung fish in the Amazon sidewaters I was told were worth more on the black market than I have ever made in a year. This amazed me.
