ABOUT ME

I grew up in Australia and enjoyed a normal life in the suburbs until the day i stumbled on an abandoned mine shaft. I remember thinking, "why is there an abandoned mine shaft next to the supermarket, and why haven't i noticed it before?" Anyway, being the intrepid explorer that I am, I ventured into the mineshaft without a second thought and obviously without foresight - oh an actual sight too because it was really really really dark.

Once I had entered the mine shaft the space around me filled with portroyal wine jelly and i drowned in its delicious sugary nothinginness.

That was the last time I was alive. I am now a jelly ghost that wanders the earth searching for good people to have a good beer with.

Why not?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and surfed a lot in the past. Now Im back in Aus and will host here and surf whenever I get the chance to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best couch surfing experience was in Hungary. I stayed in Budapest and liked it so much I went back and moved in to live with my first ever couch surfing hosts Shawn, Martyn and Gerry. We hosted literally hundreds of surfers at that place. A couple of years later and I was back in Europe and surfing my way around. I stopped in to stay with Shawn, Felix and John in La Linea in Spain for a couple of months and got to pseudo host their other guests too. I've made really great friends out of couch surfing and don't have any experiences that were really negative.

Interests

My favourite thing to do in general is to sit around people's kitchens. Apart from this I do like to get out and see things from time to time when I can be motiviated but I find it difficult to walk past an old man bar to try and have a chat with the locals.

I also love video games, meeting random people, watching British comedy and making stop-motion movies.

Couch surfing has also been one of the most amazing things Ive ever got into - Im sure you all agree.
