ABOUT ME
I am Dutch girl doing stand-up comedy in English in Berlin, Germany.
That sounds almost like a joke, but it isn't...
I am also a grad student in philosophy and I work as a cleaner.
Again this is not a joke.
PHILOSOPHY
Pfff still working on that one. Next year I really want to finish my degree. Make my mom & pop proud ya know...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
all positive -as you can see in my references-
What I really like about CS is that it leads you to places that you otherwise wouldn't visit both in a physical and mental way. I would never imagine that I'd learn to play the saxophone, but when I was looking for an apartment in Berlin I couchsurfed with Christopher, who works as a sax teacher. He gave me a sax lesson just for fun and than I realized that i had found my instrument. Now I live in Berlin and Christopher has become my saxophone teacher instead of my CS host.

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to be a filmgeek, but I'm not that passionate about cinema anymore.
In general I like weird and somewhat perverted movies, such as,; Dogtooth, Oasis, Los Amantes del Circulo Polar, My summer of love, films by Todd Solondz, Terence Malick, Jane Campion, Stanley Kubrick or David Lynch.
My favorite author is J.D. Salinger (no, I don't want to kill John Lennon)
Other books that I read recently and that I can highly recommend are ; " The god of small things"-Arundhati Roy "Independent People" - Haldor Laxness "Jeder stirbt für sich alleine" Hans Fallada "The vegetarian myth" Lierre Keith
Music is my greatest passion. Ever since I was a twelve year old girl I've been going to live concerts regularly. I noticed that I like more than 200 bands on Facebook, but to name a few: Erik Satie, Jacques Brel, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kendrick Lamar, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Delasoul, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, Sufjan Stevens, Diane Cluck, st Vincent, Jorge Ben Jor, Fatoumata Diawara, Pharaoh Sanders and Laurie Anderson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 20 I moved to Berlin all alone, but I made new friends and learned the language they speak there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm quite a good cook and I could share some recipes. I could also help you to learn the foreign languages I speak. Especially Dutch, which is my native, but also my German is quite OK.
I would like to meet someone who can teach me more about economics, maths or physics. I regret that I didn't care about these subjects in high school. Now they seem rather interesting to me.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State
