About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Started accepting guest in NYC after my summer trip and the news that my work travel is ending. I am almost booked the entire month of October, plus work has been crazy and will be traveling out of town after mid Nov, so I unfortunately have to close my couch for a while again. Sorry.

*Vaccinated, 2x pfizer and just got boosted 06/19.

Living Life, enjoying this great city, I love to meet people from other cultures to grow and learn more about the world we live in. It has been so enjoyable to be a part of couchsurfing, meeting great people from all over. Both hosting and surfing. I very much love to show people around the city and even see shows with, when available to do so. It is so amazing to see the eyes of my own city through the eyes of others.

ABOUT ME

a very social, friendly, open minded, neat, honest, and non-smoking guy here. I love living in nyc in my own place. I have been a professional musical theater actor/singer for the past 15 years. Currently been doing other work to pay the bills. But did my one man show that I wrote and performed in both Denver and NYC in 2019 and 2020. I was very fortunate to have the show take place the month before the city shut down.

I love the outdoors, nude beaches, theater/movies, tennis and anything to do with the arts.

I do have WhatsApp and facebook Meta, if care to chat and learn more. I am saddened to see only a N/A reply rate under my name. It used to be 100%, when I was getting almost 18 requests a day back when I was accepting guests. Sadly, work consumed me and so had to close my couch. But now that it is open sometimes havimg a hard time keeping up with all incoming messages. . So, please don't let that discourage you.

PHILOSOPHY

treat people and their property with respect just as you would like them to treat you. Be thankful for what we are given and don't be afraid to share in the goodness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had a great time hosting people from all over the world. It has been a great experience. I have learned so much looking through other people's eyes.

For my first experience with cs, I had the opportunity to try a couch surf in Budapest in 2010. It was a real nice experience. I was able to learn about the culture and get good advice on things to do and see from my host. It was a much better option than going to an empty hotel room. The next year I surfed all over Italy. What a blast. Since then I surfed in Barcelona and throughout France. Thanks to all who hosted me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When growing up we used to always share beds, sleep on floors with large groups of relatives. I also had to do the same while on the road touring with shows, so couch surfing is not foreign to me.

I indirectly have hosted my couch on many occasions for friends and fellow travelers through my friends and church. I have two friends who are avid couch surfer hosts and surfers when they go abroad. I had my first couch surfer officially through this site, and had a blast. I was bummed I wasn't able to spend more time visiting and showing him around. Now I have had hosted several fantastic surfers. Each and everyone is unique in their cultures and it has been grounding to learn from them all. I haven't had one bad experience yet. This is an incredible concept. Keep it going.

Movies: all kinds of movies except don't get into horror or satanic type movies.
Music: all kinds of music with a large collection of musicals since that is my profession.
Books: Spy thrillers, and science fiction (the old kind, not the new with fantasy mix).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couch surfed throughout all of Italy, France. Loved the experience. I have traveled to Greece, London, Jamaica, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lisbon, sailed on a naked Yatch around the British Virgin Islands and on another recent trip from Martinique to Guadeloupe. I've been to all all 50 USA states.

Teach, Learn, Share

They call me the renaissance man since I do photography, oil paint, wood working, cook/bake, know computers, programming, engineering, the list goes on. I have tutored calculus, physics, and taught tap dancing, so I have a lot of varied skills I could teach.

I'm also told I'm a good tour guide in the Big Apple.
