I'm a violinist and I love what I do, especially because often it involves TRAVEL! I've played at Carnegie Hall, in Rio de Janeiro, the streets of Paris, etc.
I'm especially moved by cathedrals, graffiti, everything art.

I've been traveling the globe since I was 12 years old, meeting new people, young and old, and seeing new building, museums, markets, trying new foods (especially those that others think are gross) and speaking foreign (to me) languages (oh la vache), make me smile til there's no tomorrow.

I'm into Yoga, Bikes, good Wine and Beers. Can't eat Dairy, and am mostly vegetarian / will eat local, grass fed, happy meat.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Oct 2010: Lately I've been hosting a lot of friends-of-friends and find this incredibly rewarding since my friends are fantastic people and they continue to amaze me with their fantastic taste in friends. Our house has 3 people living it in, and is very full, but we always have someone coming to stay and it's incredibly enjoyable.

Mai 2009: Je viens de rentrer de la France où j'ai passé une semaine très sympa avec les couchsurfers la!

I've been hosting in Chicago and going to CS events, mostly the Thursday meet-ups. Part of the French group, Bikes group...

October 2008: Yay! No longer a CS virgin after my trip to Lyon France and experiencing the warmth and generosity of my host! Eager to pass on the karma.

lived to tell the tale of careening down the side of a mountain in Rio de Janeiro...

seen what they really mean by "la vie en rose" in paris - the rosy light on the seine is indescribable...

When you get to Chicago, check out the Chicago Reader and RedEye - two free newspapers that have a lot of info on deals, concerts and events for the weekend.

Found the perfect museum in Nice, France: Musee de Chagal... The space was conceived by Chagal himself in oddly shaped rooms to accomodate his collections on themes, i.e. love, the Bible, etc.

in brasil, they throw eggs at you on your birthday.
instead of blowing a fallen eyelash, they put it in their shirt.

in france, if you're invited to your beau's family's house for sunday brunch, or even if he takes you to a nice dinner and presents you as his "copine," you're his girlfriend.

in turkey, hospitality is the prime concern. they take incredible pride in their hospitality - and deservedly so.
