CURRENT MISSION
To make my way back to the water.
ABOUT ME
Hello there!
I'm a kiwi who has been living in Melbourne since 2005, studying a bit, working a bit, enjoying brunches, bike rides, winter swims and many glasses of red wine.
I'm just finished exchange in Vancouver and am now on nomadic journeys through North America. So far, it's been amazing!
I'm friendly, curious, occasionally sarcastic and lots of fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed a bit and have unofficially hosted a few travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had some great couchsurfing experiences and met some very lovely people along the way. I've had a little break from couchsurfing since I started full time work, but I'm back on board now that I'm studying and traveling again.
Interests
I'm interested in... taking beautiful photographs and eating delicious meals, watching movies of all kinds, listening to podcasts, reading lots of books, cooking for friends, eating with friends and of course, drinking with friends.
I love to dance, but in a very embarrassing way. My arms and legs have no coordination. That goes for sport too.
I have a weakness for op shopping and have collected many treasures from country op shops and garage sales.

Music, Movies, and Books
Excellent movies I've seen include recently include Y tu mama tambien, Hoop dreams and The Skin I live in. But then who can get past Wall Street, Back to the Future and Edward Scissorhands?
I listen to everything from swing music, to hip hop, to indie, to 50s rock and roll, to classical and onwards. I read Pitchfork though, so I guess that leans me towards Indie music mainly.
I love to read. I've read most recently Canada by Richard Ford, What is the what by Dave Eggers and In the Evil Hour by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once stayed in a hotel entirely made of salt. And yes the walls were salty.
