ABOUT ME

Welcome! How are you?

I believe in myself, the power of thoughts and imagination,the unlimited possibilities of the human spirit, and in an invisible world and death being another level of being. I believe in free will above all, that the meaning of life is determined by oneselve, and that our language (often) limits the expression of our experiences.

I am convinced that nothing goes without saying, that each learning process begins with a realization, that each problem brings with it a new challenge and opportunity, that everything happens for a reason
and there are no coincidences, and that there should always be a balance between giving and taking.

I love (most) people and life. Love is my driving force and answer to everything in this world that I live in. Every person I meet I try to see as a teacher.
I live in my own world, in freedom and peace with myself and others,a world in which the power of love triumphs over the love of power. Love is at the core of everything, all the time and everywhere.

I am open to new experiences, because only then can I grow and change. It is my goal to become a œUniversal Homo sapiens, somebody who knows a little about everything and everything about a little. I am standing
with my feet firmly on the ground and with my head above the clouds...

I love life. I like to travel simple and adventurous. I like meeting new people from all around the world. I'm a very openminded person.

I'm a pianist and I teach piano. After my studies at the Conservatory I studied psychology and NLP (neuro-linguistic-programming). I have my own business in coaching musicians to succes (http://www.mansur.be/en/coach/mission-vision/)

PHILOSOPHY

One day a man found an eagles egg and put it in the nest of a country chicken. The eaglet hatched out on the same day as the chicks and ended up growing up with them. His whole life the the eagle did exactly what the chicks did, because that is what he believed himself to be. He scratched the earth looking for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled; kicked his wings and even managed to glide above the ground for a couple of seconds.

The years passed and the eagle lived to be very old. One day he looked up to the cloudless sky and saw a beautiful bird flying high above. With majestic grace the bird glided through the powerful updraught barely moving his strong, golden wings. The old eagle looked up in awe and asked: Who is that?

Thats the eagle, the king of birds, his neighbour said œHis kingdom is high above in the sky. We are chickens, we belong down here on the ground.And so the eagle lived and died as a chicken, because that is what he believed himself to be.'

This sad story learns us all to know ourselves, to believe in who we are and to love ourselves. And don't believe what other people tell you! So open your mind, cross your borders and become an eagle, completely free!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually only host people if I have really time for them to show them around and to spent quality-time together. I know Antwerp inside-out because I have lived here for 15 years in different places and areas. If you are lucky enough to surf at my place, I can garantuee it will be an unforgetable once in a life-time experience! You will love Antwerp for sure. I think with my openess, hospitality, spiritualism and positive intentions I'm giving the CS community a postive, loving image.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only very positive experiences! I believe that most CS are different than onther people although I sometimes also hear bad stories about people not respecting the houserules, or taking advantage of it. My house is my house and you are welcome but it's 'my way or the highway'. It's very sad that even with this beautiful idea some people destroy it.

Intereses

Hiking, being in the nature, doing sauna, reading books about spiritualism and self-knowledge, listening to filmmusic, fashion, shopping (I like clothes and gadgets), laughing till I have to pee, eating with friends, doing Indian Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies with a sjaman friend, trying to have as many new, different experiences as possible to become an old wise man. :-)

Algo increíble que he hecho

I went kanooing in the night in Sweden on the lake during new moon, dark night. It was crazy and dangerous but unforgettable!!!!
I hitchhiked from Antwerpen, my hometown to Lausanne, Switserland.
I did Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies with a sjaman. These were unforgettable experiences...
Just leaving to the airport at 5 o'clock in the morning not knowing if there would be a cheap ticket still available and arriving in Milano 7 hours later in the best Hostel in the World, Ostello Bello, in the Via Medici 4, Milano, only 5 minutes from Il Duomo, spending Christmass Eve with a friend, for 10 euros, eat and drink as much as you want... :-)
