À propos de moi

I’m an entrepreneur entering my 18th year in the field of urban redevelopment, planning, and construction. In addition to my work, I operate a non-profit organization and volunteer with a number of non-profit groups in the Philadelphia/NJ area. I'm at a point in my life where I’m fortunate enough to focus on what makes me happy - gardening, cooking and baking, travel, horticulture, historic preservation, spending time with immediate family, and binging cerebral shows on streaming.

Whether I am working, socializing, or volunteering - everything I do connects to something I am passionate about.

I travel as often as possible - my last few trips included Morocco, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, and France. In the next year I’d love to visit Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. Ultimately, I want to visit every country on earth. To me, traveling isn’t something I do for social media likes or social clout. The world is a big, beautiful place, and our time on this planet is short. I want to learn and experience as much as I can. I love the process of allowing people, places, and experiences, to shape who I am as a person. I believe life is all about evolving and being the best version of yourself. Exploring and traveling has taught me innumerable life lessons and has reshaped my perspective on life.

As an economic development professional, being able to meet new people and explore new places offers the opportunity to see how other people and communities problem solve. I enjoy new perspectives and insights. I definitely don't act like a tourist, and I don't treat new places like a zoo. Wherever I go, I always respect people, their communities, and their customs.

I live in the historic town of Greenwich, NJ, located on the Delaware Bay. I live in a wonderful Colonial-era farmhouse in an 18th century historic district. My location is within an hour of Philadelphia, Wilmington, Atlantic City, Cape May, and Ocean City. I’m within 90 minutes of Princeton and Baltimore.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I am pretty new to the whole couch surfing experience. I'm offering up my space for those who may want to get the best of the North Eastern US -- Philadelphia, New York, and Washington DC. I can act as a host, as well as tour guide for anyone interested in seeing the best of these three metropolitan places.

I also hope to make new friends through my travels. I look forward to making new friends and meeting interesting people throughout my couch-surfing travels.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Favorite Books: Malcolm Gladwell and Hugh Howie are my two favorite authors. I generally prefer non-fiction over fiction. Life is already stranger than fiction, right? Right now I’m reading Hugh Howie’s Wool trilogy - I’m a sucker for dystopian sci-fi. I also loved The Song of Achilles, Meditations, Wool, The world of normal boys, and Blink.

Music: Anythint from the 50’s to the 2000’s. Temptations, Beach Boys, Fats Domino, ORGY, Placebo, NIN, Mamas & the Papas, Madonna, Fuel, Ian van dahl, LINKIN PARK, Lasgo, Def Leopard, Aerosmith, Steve Miller Band, Simon & Garfunkel, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, Sia, Owl City, Madelline, Luke Combs, AJR, The Cranberries, The Wolfe Tones, Gotye, Radiohead.

Movies: I love the classics, sci-fi, pre-war films, and documentaries. Some of my favorites are Mildred Pierce, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Life Boat, Gold Finger, I Give it a Year, They Wont Grow Old, Butterfly Effect, GIA, Boys Don’t Cry, Cruel Intentions, The Bird Cage, Soldier's Girl, Constantine, SICKO

Shows: Silo, The Foundation, Invasion, Law & Order, Archer, Mr. Robot, Man in the High Castle, Shameless, The Expanse, The Mandalorian, Succession, Big Mouth, Walking Dead, OITNB, Russian Doll, American Horror Story, Bob’s Burgers, Gentleman Jack, Black Mirror, 1883, 1923

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most awe-inspiring times in my travels was my trip to the remote areas of Morocco. It was surreal to explore an area that was so far removed from technology and bustling streets. The beauty of the mountains and warmth of the people was captivating and inspiring.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Because I love food and language, I am very interested in learning new languages and culinary customs as I travel. Likewise, I am a great cook with a varied culinary background. I have a background in construction, horticulture, and farming, and I would love to share my experience with anyone who shares an interest.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

My love of food, cooking and baking, and working with my hands (gardening, home DIY).
