About Me

CURRENT MISSION

World domination through my robotic minions.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting and getting to know wonderful people and bringing them into my social circle.

I love novel experiences -- strange foods, weird activities, strange social situations, ... We only live once and I want to experience everything I can.

I love understanding how the world works, and how people work. We're such beautifully fascinating creatures!

I love learning. Right now I'm learning kite-boarding, slack-lining, topics in math and robotics, TIG welding, and some dance forms.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to spend lots of time watching TV -- kill the infernal machine!

It's fun to throw yourself into crazy situations without much planning and roll with what happens. I'm a huge fan of randomness and spontaneity over planning. I think the fact that the universe exists at all is ridiculously amazing and the thought of it (or a look at the night sky) always fills me with awe and happiness.

I've always thought this T. S. Eliot quote was awesome, and totally apropos for CS:

We shall never cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
