About Me

Waaaw, it has been a while ago since I updated my profile. The biggest change is that I live for three years in Vancouver, Canada now. Didn't change too much since I wrote this down *cough* grey hairs *cough*

CURRENT MISSION

life is useless, but let's not bother about that.

ABOUT ME

I use to talk a lot about myself, me, me, me, when I am surrounded by the people I like. But now, as I have to write down all those incredible things about myself, I would not even believe myself. Maybe one should think I am exagerating, while I would only be telling just a few things because I presume, this whitespace is limited... and there is soooooo much to tell. I will try to catch my personality in one word, but be warned, it only shows the top of the iceberg of the incredible complex personality I have. When I've got to choose one word, one of the billion English words I master, I'll choose as a description: I'm very very very modest. (yes I know it's more than one word, but the adjectives are really necessary !!!! (as are the multiple exclamation marks here)) stop stop Lode, there are plenty more white boxes to fill with incredible interesing English writing exercises.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to think that there is no meaning of life. So, let's be happy. But people made me think: Are we searching for happiness? Not always.
So, now I tend to think that question "what is the meaning of life" is an irrelevant question. We are just here by coïncidence.
Don't worry, it's just a thought. I am actually quite enthousiastic about life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have experienced that my favorite way of travelling is low budget and "semi"planned. Like: You have a vague plan, but are flexible enough to changed it every moment, according to what happens. I am not that much interested in having seen all the big events, but I like the details. Saying that, I experience that there is a lot to discover in my own city, even in my backyard. So, travelling is not a have to for me, but I have to say that I really enjoy new environments. It's like seeing a football game. On television, everything is very detailed and well explained. But than, I was once invited to actually go to a game. Although I still don't like football, when I see it now on television, I can imagine the atmosphere much better. Because I experienced it once. No, twice!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As Bruges is the city I live in, it is not hard to find guests! The tourist things, I don't do too often, but going for a bicycle ride in the tourist-free-countryside, that's what I love, with or without guests! A remember one moment in particular with a guest "Mehmet" We went to a bar and had a drink, and when we got home, we decided to put the pingpongtable in the living room, on the first floor. Actually, getting it down again some months later was an enormous labour with lot's of people and lot's of preparation. No clue how we did it, but the pingponging was epic.

Interests

All kinds of not too lazy activities. Without have one hobby in particular. Lode? Don't you have one hobby to mention? No, it's always a difficult question. I have to much activities to concentrate on my hobby :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Once I start a book, I can't stop reading until it is finished. That's a pity, because now I work I am always really scared to start a book.
I especially like (auto)biographies because it sometimes seems to me that people experience things that, when they would be the product of fantasy nobody would every believe. And for me, it's important for a story to have a certain level of credibility. (I have no idea if what I am typing here is reflecting what I want to say.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Please ask me, I am not writing down anything (would be like "how to make nice memories quite dull")
life is brilliant!
