About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I recently earned my Masters Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, looking to put that to good use internationally. In the meanwhile, living here in the Bay Area, Oakland, taking trips & visits to local spots. Hit me up, maybe we can do a trip to Santa Cruz, Point Reyes, take a walk around Oakland or SF, get a coffee or bite to eat.

ABOUT ME

I have travelled to many distant lands, including teaching a couple of years at an international school in the West African country of Niger. Adventures to Mexico and Guatemala have been marvelous as well. I love the spirit of travel, embracing the unknown, being exposed to new sites and perspectives.

PHILOSOPHY

Thinking of other countries and foreign peoples in terms of their poets, musicians, travelers...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a bunch of people in Niamey, Niger, and it was great. I have surfed on couches from Paris to Crimea, Mexico City to Questzaltenango, Guatemala..all wonderful in their own way...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far so great...

Interests

I enjoy meeting the many kinds of people it takes to make up this world of ours...going on a back alley or mountain walk...swimming, especially bodysurfing in the ocean in the warm waves of Oaxaca, Mexico...theatre!
I have been an artist, still feel this in my bones, though my creative expression is in a bit of hibernation now...
I love kids, though don't have any of my own...I am a traveler in this world, something of a vagabond with a day job, but still up for an adventure great & small....
