ABOUT ME

I am a widow, with two daughters unfortunately only one alive now. Lucky to have a smashing grandson in England and two granddaughters in Brisbane,Australia.
I have always loved travelling but finding it a bit hard without my long-term travel companion. I find it very daunting to stay in a hotel room alone. That is why I only travel to places where I could stay with a family or a friend.
I sincerely do believe that by providing help and kindness to a person there will always be another providing kindness and help to me if and when I need it.
This is to prove that you have fully read my profile...... I am no longer 59 years old, I don't know how to change it. L.OL.

PHILOSOPHY

My belief is that we are all connected regardless of what religion or race we are.
I believe in being an angel whenever the opportunity arise and an angel will appear whenever I need one.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have opened my house for foreign students on vacations when I was in England and provide short term home-stays now in Australia.
I enjoy meeting people and learning about different cultures etc I love food from different country. I hope I could continue providing accommodation to my fellow travelers (though they are getting younger and younger these days!!!)
If I could not provide accommodation, then I will more that happy to show them around and buy them a cup of coffee/tea and cream cake.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had great pleasure meeting other couch surfers. When there is someone that you could get advice about the place that you intend to visit, the experience becomes more enjoyable.
I have met nice couchsurfers in Argentina, Barcelona and New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia,Japan, China, England, New York,Brocklyn, New Jersey, Santiago in Chili to name a few. Hope to meet many more.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have traveled around Europe extensively, been to India , South Africa, Asia, China,Japan,America,Canada, Argentina,Brazil, France,Spain.Ireland, Canada, Alaska and New Zealand - to list a few.
I love the Victoria Falls. Enjoyed the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Did the Baltic Cruise in September 2018.
The most amazing thing that I have done was doing the "Flying Fox" in Aug. 2011 in Wales, being instructed by my grandson and him doing all the safety checks. It was a great feeling of trusting my safety to my young grandson.

I love to share my life experiences and my positive attitides . I am a teacher and a learner, I do believe I have learnt a thing or two from my young homestays.
Life is about sharing, what good is it to have a grand house when it is not a comforting home.
I am a good cook, so I am sure there will be knowledge that could be shared in this area.
I am glad that I have been told about this Couch Surfing site. I am sure I could share happy times with others from different parts of the world.
