About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live a full life and see my son grow

ABOUT ME

I am 28yrs old and I love life and the road is my best friend. I love music and records and all hail Rock and Roll, old cars, campers, squatters, hitch hikers, festivals, hobo's hippies, punks and goodtimes. I like to watch live music - whether it be an open mic, punk gig, jazz band, also love to go to DIY galleries, theatre, cinema's or anything that is fun with a bunch of friends. I am easy going and love midnight adventures.
Lived in a squat in Amsterdam and in a van in cornwall...goodtimes
I am about to finish my degree in Professional Photography

PHILOSOPHY

To learn from my mistakes, to be a good person, to give back more than I take and live life in a good way.
To not be sucked in my false needs and to avoid being to materalistic

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel I often couch surf and I try to return the favour even if that means showing someone around my city or going for coffee. Please be aware I have a young son so I cannot consider anyone who does not have a full profile, friends and referances, sorry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lived and travelled with two other couch surfers in Nice, France for a while and have been hosted in Zurich, Zagreb and Budapest. Trying to become more involved in my local CS - Cardiff, have been to a monthly meet and hopefully alot more in the New Year. Organised a CS event in London for the Climate Change marches. Couch surfed unofficially in South Africa and across the UK, Amsterdam and Nice. Have also had other travelers crash at my house before - South Africa and UK.

Interests

Photography, Art, going to galleries, music and Rock and Roll! Records, painting, thinking, writing, reading, travel travel travel.....playing guitar, learning new things, touching the soil, feeling grass under my feet.
Standing up for what you believe in...all you climate change/green activists keep going. I love TEA!!!!!
Also I love to be creative and write - I have a blog - I have a fashion/culture/creative blog - http://sideshow-scrapbook.blogspot.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1.I took a cargo ship from Cape Town to the UK, it took 29 days, at one point I didn't see land for more than a week. Went to amazing places, on of them being St Helena - it has no airport and the only way to get to it is to sail for 4 days straight. The ship had no TV, no internet and no mobile phone connection - it was great - I felt free again.

2. Road Trip up the coast of South Africa, camping on beaches and chilling in the Sun

3. Going to Oppikoppi festival in the middle of knowhere in South Africa - took me a 25hr bus trip, then got stuck in Pretoria bus station when an Angel in disguise let me stay at there house and drove me the 2hrs into the bush to the festival - it was amazing.

5. Going to Glastonbury 2007

6. Everyday travelling and realising what a wonderful world we live in and getting a chance to meet all the great people in the world and couch surfing ofcourse

Travelling alone through eastern europe and taking an overnight train from Zurich through Slovenia to Zagreb in Croatia and sharing my compartment with two really big bosnian men who couldn't get over the fact I didn't have a boyfriend....they turned out to be such nice people
