ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people and showing them around philly. Couch surfing has been such an incredible experience and I would love to share it with my fellow travelers. I work in healthcare as an Occupational Therapist (bonus points if you know what that is). Like most healthcare professionals, I work several jobs, my week nights are pretty much a non-partying time/chill time. During the spring/summer, many of my friends have porch parties (its a Philly thing) and I tend to be more active. During the winter, not so much. Oh, and if you are luck enough to stay with me on a Monday night- you will join my dear friend Pebbles as we party at a local drag show (my friend does the photography for past 2 years). And to any foreigners...the host, Aloe Vera, LOVES hearing accents!!

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once...and not for very long when compared to the grand scheme of things. Also, Iam a big believer in Karma...what comes around, goes around. So you better behave :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I began my couch surfing adventures while back packing Thailand. Since then, I have hosted a number of surfers both from around US and the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While i was in Thailand, I discovered couch surfing and had the opportunity to couch surf not once, but twice (the second time was a surprise). Since joining almost 10 years ago, I have had the opportunity to surf throughout India, Nepal, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Scotland Ecuador, and Peru. Likewise, I have taken in surfers from too many countries to name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived this long

Teach, Learn, Share

Discuss U.S politics (from a liberal view); On weekends, I can share my time and tour around Philadelphia. I even have a "Hanna's Tour" which can get you to the most famous places in a day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With my hosts, I can share my warm and sunny personality, cooking, and interesting tales of traveling and hosting. Philadelphia is known for microbreweries, so often in the beginning of my trips I may have 3-4 bottles that I can give as a thank you. As I don't drink beer, I do tend to give them away quickly (trying to lighten up the load)

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Austria, Belize, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Poland, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
