About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Starting a gipsy live on the road :)

ABOUT ME

I'm, an single mother, artist and thinker. I'm a glassblower and metalsmith and i make unique jewelry... well, and all natural bath and body products also...just too odd... but i love it and have fun.

I traveled to many places and stayed longer than the usual travellers stayed. Lived 1 year on the canarian islands, 1 year at sardinia in italy, long time in rome, italy, athens in greece was a great place too and many other places.

I started traveling whith my baby son when he was 1 year old. (now he is 21)bought a tent and back pack and hitted the road. most time walking and with a bike. some times trains a few time air plane but just if there was a nessesary like fly to an island or to the USA...lol
we lived most time on camp sites and had lots of fun and met great people. i just love traveling and deep in my heart i must have gipsy blood in me i think...

PHILOSOPHY

use your brain and think...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Basically i host. I have not too much time for the big world right now.
I love the idea of CS and i have been a member at hospitalityclub.org over many years. i like couchsurfing way better.

some times i would love to travel also again and hopefully i will find some couches too

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i was for long time a member from hospitalityclub.com
but the site drives me crazy and lately i forgott my password and it takes month to get this agin from them so people told me about this site over here.

I never went to surf a couch yet just gave couches.
met great people from great countries and had made new friends.
i still have contacts with people who stayed at my home and i enjoy them as friends in my life.

Interests

i'm a full hearted hot glass worker at my torch.
Doing this since 20 years and never get tired of doing it. I'm also a metalsmith and jewelry designer maker.
Love reading or watching movies (only with happy end, but even bruce willis movies have a happy end...)
i'm also in bonsai tree growing. unfortunately i had to let all my over 300 trees back in europe when i moved and have not made my little butt up to start over again, but its in my mind and some day i'm over the lost trees and i will start with new ones.

i'm a pretty good cook and basicly love all kind of crafts and arts.

my heart is in building up an arts and crafts school for underprevileged young adults. to give them a chance in feeling proud that they can do something to change their life in a great direction.

Music, Movies, and Books

gone with the wind, the best in the world.
sleepless in seattle
books right now... harry potter, eragon and Artemis Foul. but there are many ,more books for grown ups i read too.
books are every day in my life. i never fall to sleep without reading at least some pages
well, and i love the ferry tales a lot. grimms and such....ahhhhhh, can not help my self, they are just too great

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a lot.
The most amazing thing i have don was moving from now to now to the USA.
waked up one morning, ordered an big container, packed everything and 6 weeks later i was here, in the USA.
Did not spoke english had no idea how the states are, but i had a dream and my dream became true. And the best thing was, i did it from my own free will and no other people or so was the reason.
Just me and my son and that is the best thing ever...
i just made it!

well, there is a whole story behind that, an amazing one, but that is something for a nice conversation with a glass of wine or so (i never drink...haha...)

Teach, Learn, Share

hot glass at the torch,
marble making, bead making and such.
german, and silversmithing.
bread baking, pasta making and many other baking and cooking things.
sock knitting in the german way (but only unequal ones... it is too boring for me to make 2 of the seem pattern...)
i also like to teach how to make healthy and inviroment friendly soap.
