My formal education has been in Science and Medicine and I have worked in Human Services for the past 8 years, working with Head Injured, Autistic, and other disabled populations.

I first became involved with the Couchsurfing community in Chicago in 2009. I had many great experiences and met so many wonderful people. Since that time I have moved to New York and have not been active with Couchsurfing communities here although I do a lot of things with Meetup.com. I maintain my couchsurfing account because it will come in handy for the next few years. I am planning on some domestic and international trips and having contact with couchsurfing communities is a great way to meet locals and learn about local events.

In addition to languages, I have many other interests that I enjoy learning about and discussing with others such as Astronomy, Evolution, Science in general and Science Fiction, Travel ( Of course), Gastronomy, Gaming, Photography to name a few.

I plan on staying in New York to work with TBI patients until 2024 and then I plan on moving to South America to teach English

I enjoy meeting a diverse group of people with interesting stories to tell and with whom I can have fun adventures. I plan on doing some couchsurfing over the next few years. I plan on visiting the Pacific NorthWest, Pittsburgh and Alaska.

Interessen

I greatly enjoy languages. I am most proficient at Spanish at which I am at the intermediate level.
Portuguese is a close second, I just started learning Italian, French and German. My formal education is in Physics and Medicine, but I HATE Math and Biology is generally boring.

If I were to do my life over again, I would have studied languages and music at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Growing up, I thought the only option was medicine but I have come to realize that it is best to do what you like and what you are good at.

I am big theater buff. Not so much Broadway but small theater companies and improv comedy
Some theatre companies I like in New York are Group.BR, the Tank, and Upright Citizen's Brigade.
And in Chicago of course there is IO Theatre and the infamous Second City.

I enjoy traveling and meeting new people and having exciting new experiences. My ultimate dream job is to be an international English teacher. I would also like to increase my proficiency in my chosen languages and live in countries where they are natively spoken.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My most recent interest in music has been Operatic Metal such bands at Nightwish and Within Temptation.
I take voice lessons and enjoy sining at Kareoke and at small gatherings.
The Cello is one of my favoirite instruments and someday I hope to take lessons.
New York has an endless supply of great music venues, but if you visit Chicago, I suggest Kingston Mines, BLUES, and Buddy Guy'.

Aside from reading trees of books for college and medical school, I have read just about every DragonLance novel. I have enjoyed books by Stephen King, Sandra Brown and lots of classics such as "Brave New World" and "The Catcher and the Rye", both of which I never had read in highschool or college.

My favorite genre of movie is Scify/Horror with examples such as Alien, Predator, Alien VS Predator and two of my all time favorite movies in this genre are Event Horizon and Prince of Darkness. I enjoy independent movie houses like The Nitehawk Theatre in Brooklyn.

Scrubbed in on an emergency Aortic Aneurysm replacement surgery. Unfortunately, the patient died.
