About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new, interesting people and discover new places!

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easy-going, honest person with a positive outlook. I live on my own and sometimes like to have my own space but prefer to have company.

I'm open to people from all backgrounds - you're welcome whatever your views and values are. I'm always willing to listen! Believe in basically getting on with people and that life's to short to be unhappy, so have fun! but know when to be silly and when to be serious.

PHILOSOPHY

Not entirely sure if this belongs here:

I'm open to people from all backgrounds - you're welcome whatever your views and values are. I'm always willing to listen! Believe in basically getting on with people and that life's to short to be unhappy, so have fun! but know when to be silly and when to be serious.

A quote that I can't help but agree with:

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting whenever I can, when I was living in Amsterdam I helped people find their way around town, find the sights they were looking for, advice on places to visit, go with them for a quality beer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I've now hosted people from 14 countries! (Maybe I need to count again! See my friends and their references! For some reason many of them seem to be from Russia! They're all pretty amazing people! Let's see if I can add more countries to the list :-)

So far only surfed in Spain and Slovenia and St Petersburg Russia. Hoping to have lots of surfing time soon!

Interests

I'm a real music fanatic! I listen a lot to different sorts of to music and also play piano/keyboard. Prefer rock and alternative music but I'm open to all genres - any tips are always welcome!

Right now, I'm writing my own material and am trying to learn guitar for my own compositions - would be nice to hear from any guitar teachers! Recently I've also been making some recordings with friends. I started playing to live audiences when I was at school and was recently in a band for 2 years.

I also love learning languages and have started learning Thai! I only know a few phrases so far, but if you're willing to teach me, I'd be very eager!
