Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted about 36 times, and have had only positive experiences. I have never surfed, because I live alone in Manhattan, and only really travel for vacation, so prefer to have my privacy. I am open to meeting people when I travel but rarely use couchsurfers for that. When I travel I prefer to rent an apartment to stay in. I like having things in common with my house guests, not seeking to be a free hotel. I live in nice one bedroom with sofa bed in livingroom in Elevator building across from a park in Hamilton Heights upper Manhattan. I am on the corner of West 135th and LENOX AVENUE. I lend a set of my keys to my guests because I prefer them to be able come and go as they please and not rely on me being home to feel welcome. I have no curfew and share my food, free time and like to make sure my guests leave loving New York, and feeling at home. If you would like to surf my couch please tell me something about yourself. I prefer surfers with references. I have a car so it's easy for me to get around New York, especially late at night and when I want to go to the beach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met great people and have made a few friends on here. I really feel lucky to meet nice people from around the world whether on couchsurfers or while traveling. I was treated amazingly well in Tel Aviv, Sydney, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Budapest, Madrid, Prague, Ibiza, Vienna, Sydney, Montreal, and Auckland. But also have friends in Atlanta, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Delaware. As a result, I have friends around the world and love to see them either here in New York, or where they live.
