About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live and let live.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very relaxed kind of guy, who likes to watch soccer, do his research and - above all - enjoy the company of friends and family. If you get to know me, you'll see that I can be an an endless talk or a complete silence. When experiencing the second one, don't take it personally, I'm a "comfortable silence" kind of guy. There is a link somewhere on the Web on how to deal with introverted persons. Take it as a guideline for those particular moments. You'll see that there are subjects that will keep me going for a very long time, you just have to be (un)lucky to stumble upon one of the several... By the way, I love a good discussion specially on a table with beer (discussing as in dialogue, not arguing mind you) you'll know when you hit a vein.

PHILOSOPHY

Religion is worth talking about just up to a certain point, after which is just a pointless waste of both parties time. All the rest, bring your chair, the mate (typical drink from the Gauchos of South America's South Cone, look it up) and let's talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can provide a place for surfers whenever possible. My wife and son just moved back to Brazil, so my son's room is available now for hosting. Just remember that couchsurfing is not exactly a "free b&b", is something else entirely. You can surely use the kitchen, as long as you wash whatever you use, and, again, is not a free-ride, bring your food/drinks. Bathroom with door that locks (only one, though). I have also stayed at other people's house on travels for joy or conferences, before even knowing couchsurfing.org existed.

Interests

Physics, interdisciplinary sciences/research, snowboard, friends, beer, bar, pagode, ... there is so much - and varied - things that I love that is hard to put down on words. Sports is definitely on the top of my list, although I play just barely now a days, but also love to watch other playing, be it pro or amateur. From my pics you can have a guess at which is my favorite above all. But how can I not put family, in the ample term in here? Maybe 'cause it's so ingrained in me that I sometimes don't even realize how import it is to me when asked what/which things I love/like.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Brazilian music, in particular MPB and Pagode/Samba. Also rock, soul, blues are on my top list.
As books goes, I'm a fan of Asimov, Scalzi, Stephen King and also like some of John Grisham's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a father! Definitely the most amazing thing I ever done.
