About Me

I've been a member of couchsurfing for 17 years. Back then very few members but the memories still live in today. It’s changed my life for the better and Im
Forever grateful. Through couchsurfing and all the people I met in this time period I'm not even the same person I was when I signed up. It was the craziest adventure lasting years I would love to share and tell you about. My favorite thing about this website is the exchange. It can be couches, coffee, ideas, inspirations, or friends. Travel is nothing without the people we meet along the way and randomly joining this website way back when ended up being a huge benchmark in my life. Sometimes a stranger can change our lives

I never even wanted to travel growing up. It was somewhat accidental fate. My cousin one day as college was coming to an end randomly told me to go to a job interview at the worlds biggest airline. I did and got a low paying job but they offered free flights everywhere and I was young and flexible enough to take full advantage and for many many years I did and ended up seeing most of the world.

PHILOSOPHY "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something €” your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." - Steve Jobs, Apple Founder 2005 "If your dedicated and sincere the world will hear about it" "Success is in the follow through" "Fortune Favors the bold”

I want to host travelers who are really here to explore. I totally get and respect broke travelling. I did it for many years. It just takes the fun out of the hosting experience if you sit on the couch all day on the internet and don’t leave or use my place for travel recovery mode. I also prefer but don’t require you be here for a cool reason like being in middle of a bad ass hike, festival or concert. I want to make sure we would align. Traveling Couples are easy and always welcome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As an early member of the site I try to be a model in the community however possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being a volunteer for the site in the early days of the collectives was a great opportunity for me to accept and learn from others. The experience was priceless and lead to many big things for me down the road.
I couchsurfed a full semester in college before the website existed in 2002. It was the most rewarding few months of all my education. I found out who I really was, who my friends were, and that I could live a happy life with very simple needs. It became a fun game. Being homeless with a purpose turned out to be a gift of a lifetime. Since then my other friends were inspired to do the same. I've Surfed nearly everywhere else since.
