ABOUT ME

I'm living the dream just outside of Aspen, Colorado but am always craving a new adventure around the world. Traveling, meeting new people and learning the beauty of new cultures are the true joys in my life. There is so much beauty in the world and not enough time to see it all! I am an open-minded spirit, curious to experience new things, eat new foods and discover the beauty that the world has to offer.

I love to sing! Karaoke is one of my favorite things to do. I also love listening to music, learning how other cultures dance, cooking in the kitchen with new recipes. I love to eat new foods, and I have a philosophy - don't tell me what I'm eating until I've tried it three times. Sadly, I'm allergic to fish and peanuts!

Of course, I also am passionate about photography; taking photos of the beauty in the world is something you can rely on me to do. I'm always ready with a camera!

PHILOSOPHY

To satisfy one's curiosity, one must be open-minded, spontaneous and ready to take risks. I call that being an adventurer. Living life to satisfy your inner adventurer is the best way to live life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy all aspects of it - I love the CS gatherings, I'm a host, I prefer being a CSer than going to a hotel or resort (don't get me wrong, I still like my resort time!).. I swear by couchsurfing as the way to get the true cultural experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I swear that CS is a karma based, and you get what you give. There are many wonderful hosts out there who are more generous than you'd ever expect. All my experiences so far have been filled with unexpected adventures... it got crazy a couple of times.

Interests

Anything and everything! outdoorsy stuff, indoorsy stuff, sports (all of them... especially the extreme ones), taking pictures of EVERYTHING!! traveling, scuba diving! rock climbing, snowboarding, cycling, bonfires, wild animals, fishing, riding horses, Colorado wildflowers, reading good books (not a fan of bad books), jumping off of cliffs or out of airplanes or off of mountains, scrabble, laughing, living life to the fullest

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Off the coast of the Philippine island Coron, I was floating in a boat, at night, underneath a beautifully star-lit sky, wiggling my hands in the ocean and watching the florescent bacteria light up and glow blue all around my hand.... which was even cooler when I went scuba diving at night and saw the same blue florescent glow lining the spines of fish beneath me. It was incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't go to the tourist areas. You'll get ripped off and won't have a unique experience. Find your inner courage and take the public transportation, stay with families instead of in hostels or hotels. Try everything once. There are the 'shoulda, woulda, coulda's' in life, and then there are the 'i'm glad i did's'.... who will you be?
