Interessen

At the moment I’ am interested in child adoption. I’m an adoption candidate almost a year and half. In Portugal there aren’t much information (documents, books, etc.) about it. So, I’ am development a site about adoption. If you are interested in subject and you understanding Portuguese language go to www.opcaoadopcao.org .
And read good books, going to the cinema, theatre and of course traveller around the world as much as possible

Musik, Filme und Bücher

About music - I have a taste too much eclectic: classical music, jazz, opera, blues, rock music, some Brazilian (Adriana Calcanhoto, Marisa Monte, Elis Regina, Zélia Duncan, Zeca Balero, and so on) , French (Jacques Brel, Edit Piaf, …), Italian an Cuban music and Fado (try to listen to, for example, Mariza). I like too other kind of music, but depend of my spirit condition and the place I ‘am listen to the music.

About cinema – my preference go to independent cinema or “author” cinema.

About books – reading is my favourite activity in free time. Generally, I’m always reading a book. I like the classical and the modern authors. Portuguese author I like, for example, Eça de Queirós, Almeida Garret, José Saramago (He’s a Nobel), and so on. Recently I tried to read too new authors, José Rodrigues dos Santos e Rodrigo Guedes de Carvalho and I like very much. Booth are journalist in Portuguese television. About my home land (Angola) my preference goes to Pepetela e José Eduardo Agualusa. From Brasil I like for example Machado de Assis e Jorge Amado. About international authors I can talk about kafka, Simone Beauvoir, Luís Sepúlveda, Oscar Wild, Nabokov, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Italo Calvino….for now I don’t remember more.
Recently I read from China “Shanghai Baby” (Wey Hui) and did like very much – this romance was forbidden in China. The Chinese government, on 2000, burned 40 000 copies of this book…
Now I’m reading the last book of Richard Zimler. I already read all his books. He is American but he lives in Portugal. He write about, for now, about a Jewish family (Portuguese Jews family).
