ABOUT ME

I'm all about traveling and been lucky to have visited many extraordinary places and met incredible people. But then again, is it ever enough?

After spending 18 years in school, I have been trying to escape the responsibility to decide what is next. At the moment I do what I love, spending most of the year living out of my suitcase, working as a group leader of organized tours all around Europe.

BACK ON THE ROAD UNTIL THE SUMMER, NO HOSTING UNTIL THEN.

In the past few years my couchsurfing activiy has been down to zero, due to the insane amount of studying I had to do. Now with all the work and being away, even less time.

Please note: In case you contact me for any reason, please indicate that you have read my profile. For me Couchsurfing has always been about meeting people, not just a free option of accommodation. ...host Chris a few times since July 2008 and travel with him across Bulgaria and Greece. He is a great friend since! I have also visited him in 2013 and we toured Boston, Niagara Falls and New Hampshire.
...host and guide Annabell, Christian, Werner(71!) and Hannes in January 2009.
...meet Daria in Pécs in January 2009.
...host Anna and Colleen for one night June 2009.
...host Jeff for a night in June 2009.
...participate in a couple of local CS meetings in Pécs where I met a lot of fun and enthusiastic people.
...surf Braden's couch together with Chris in Burgas, Bulgaria for 3 nights in August 2009. In October I had the chance to return the favor and host him and his brother Justin for 6 days in Pécs, Hungary.
...participate in a CouchSurfing meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece in July 2009.
...host three individual surfers simultaneously: Olga for a night, Mario and Jonathan for two nights in August 2009.
...host Gido for 5 days in September 2009.
...introduce Couchsurfing to 80 Greenlandic teenagers during a brief lecture in Qasigiannguit, Greenland.
...surf on Freja's and Andreas' couch and meet their friends in Ilulissat, Greenland for 3 nights in July 2010.
...surf on Alex's couch for 4 nights in Nuuk, Greenland in July 2010.
...surf on Darek's and Daria's couch for 4 nights in Akureyri, Iceland in August 2010. I also had the chance to return the favor and host Darek a year later in Pécs.
...surf on Eleonora's couch for many days in Reykjavik in August 2010, also meeting her flatmates Susi and Jan.
...organize a CS meeting in Reykjavík for 15 people in August 2010.
...surf on Payton's couch for 3 days in Washington DC in August 2013.
...surf on Nicolas' couch and meet his friends together with Chris in September 2013.
...surf on Jenn's and Shane's couch for 3 nights in Chicago in September 2013.
...host Katia and Djordje for two nights in July, 2015.
...participate in the weekly CS meeting and meet some great people in Boston/Cambridge with Chris in January 2016.
...host Elena and Wojciech for a couple of nights in February 2016.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Living in Greenland for 7 months and traveling there and in Iceland for 6 weeks was the most incredible travel experience so far.

Working for the London 2012 Summer Olympics in Weymouth for 6 weeks and the Commonwealth Games in 2014 in Glasgow for a month.

A summer of working and traveling in the US in 2013.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I want to learn to say to Cheers! in as many languages and possible. I can now teach a few dozens.
