ABOUT ME

I live in North Portland with my best friend. I studied abroad last term in Ghana and am graduating in June. I want to spend the next couple of years working and traveling. I really want to go back to Africa to hike Mt Kilimanjaro and I want to trek the Himalayan mountains.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to judge and ask the same for myself. I want to give as much as possible to the world because that's what makes me happy. I think that everyone should find what makes them happy and do it. You only live once after all....even if you live more than once......

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted one person before in Seattle but my old roommate was not really okay with it....now, Claire and I want to help out people who need a couch so that we can see familiar faces when we travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a lot of cool people in Thailand that are on couch surfing. I should have used it to network more before I left but didn't.

Interests

Music-I enjoy any music with good lyrics and a positive vibe. Michael Franti, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Bob Marley, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Antony and the Johnsons, Devothcka, Explosions in the Sky, Handful of Luvin'....and so many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is difficult to narrow it down to just one.....I think that sky diving was on the top of my list. I really enjoy anything that pushes my fears to the limits. Scuba diving in Thailand was great. I think that one of my most life changing experiences was volunteering in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and I have a lot of good books to share. I run a lot and always enjoy company for that. I would love to improve my yoga.
