About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To show others the kindness that I have been shown while travelling around the world.

ABOUT ME

Easy going, laid back person. Grew up in Maine in a huge family, began traveling as a kid. Love to travel and explore new places and meet new people. I have lived all over the US as well as Brazil and Germany. I really enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people, not just from other countries but new people in general, as long as they are cool. I no longer live in Maine, I actually bought a vineyard in south america. i cannot chànge my account, because i do not receive mail where I am living.
If you wish to surf my couch you must put "doglover" in the subject line or at least in the first sentence to prove you have actually read my profile. Also if you are just traveling through and need a place to crash without bothering to visit or socialize, then go to a hostel; couch surfing is about helping and getting to know others, not about free loading.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live, treat others with dignity and respect.

Music, Movies, and Books

Watch a lot of foreign films, I like horror. Enjoy most music, everything from classical to alternative rock, to heavy metal, just can't stand country music! Enjoy reading, but don't have a lot of time lately (other than text books!) Favorite authors are Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul and Robin Cook

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with wild manatees in Florida.
Scuba Diving off the coast of Honduras.
Standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon.
Standing out in the water near the falls at Cataratas do Iguaçu on the Brazilian, Argentina, Paraguay border.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have placed foreign exchange students in other people's homes, as well as have hosted many in my own home. It is an incredible way to get to know someone from another culture and learn about their culture and country. Couch surfing is a crash course way to meet other people without the long term commitment.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
