Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was "couchsurfing" before it was called that on my round the world trip 2001-2003! Since joining in 2008 I've hosted, surfed, met up with fellow couchsurfers, and love planning and participating in group activities. I love how CS events make a newcomer feel welcome in a new city!

Interests

Playing and listening to music, technology, making and eating yummy vegan recipes, healthy living, renewable energy, walking, helicopters, traveling, writing, photography, everything water: kayaking, paddling, swimming, beach, water aerobics, snorkeling. Board games! Giving back, seeking balance, enjoying life, learning and teaching with an open mind.

I'm an open minded, well-traveled musician/entrepreneur/engineer.

Interestingly, music styles I enjoy playing aren't the same as what I enjoy listening to, but some styles I listen to I love playing!

Cryptonomicon is my favorite book/Stephenson favorite author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived my whole life without drinking or trying alcohol!

One cool thing I've done while in Florida: see the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean and the sunset over the Gulf in the same day! It's only possible in a few places in the world to see the sunrise and sunset over different bodies of water/oceans/seas!
