About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been living here in SF for 3 years now, and love it. Who knows where life will take me in the future, but for now, it's all about working and enjoying life, building towards the future!

Live this life with no regrets, to experience the world around me with my own eyes, to meet as many people and learn about as many cultures and languages I can, and to fight to do the best I can in whatever goals I create along the way!

ABOUT ME

I've moved too many times to count now and lived what seems just as much in Asia as here in the U.S. The closest places to a hometown over the years would be split down the middle between Osaka and San Francisco.

I love going anywhere new and trying new things, with a few restrictions to food every now and again (deep fried cockroaches in Thailand and balut in the Philippines didn't exactly prove to be of my palate). All around, I am very easy to get a long with, love to make people smile and laugh, to hear stories about people's experiences around the world, and just relax with friends.

I am always up for meeting new people, anytime, anywhere, anyplace.

****As far as requests go, in SF they can get pretty nonstop when the profile is turned on (just turning mine back on from a break for quite a while), so although I understand copy and paste style with how difficult it is to find places to stay here, please take the time to read about the people here and personalize it a bit. I had to go through it when I first moved out here and it was an awesome journey. Please tell me about one of your favorite adventures so far before your request so I know you read this :) best of luck and enjoy SF!*****

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem, live life, be open, and find a passion and pursue it the fullest :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be more than happy to host people that are traveling through whatever area I am living in or try my best to help you out in any way I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have both hosted many people in the US/Japan/South Korea and stayed with various people throughout all my travels. Hopefully the list of people will keep on growing :)

Interests

I am interested in just about anything from sports to socializing. I love travel and study different cultures as well as meeting new people from the areas. I am also definitely interested in extreme sports, from scuba diving to sky diving, and am willing to try most things once.

Music, Movies, and Books

Just about anything that catches my attention. Some things in particular, "A Bell for Adano" by John Hershey for favorite book and "Snatch" or "Shawshank Redemption" for movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have always loved to try new things, especially if it gets a bit of adrenaline pumping. Cliff diving, scuba diving, and sky diving would have to be on the top of that list. Quite some amazing experiences. Scuba diving has proven to be absolutely breathtaking, far beyond words, especially most recently diving with sharks in the Philippines. And jumping out of a plane at 4000 meters, free-falling at 120 mph was awe-inspiring; simply one of the most amazing things I have ever done. Am definitely going for my license as soon as I get the chance.

A couple of CS related things was I had the chance to be in a magazine in Seoul for Couchsurfing (one of my profile pics) as well as recently hosted an amazing group of guys from Greece that were apart of a world travel show - I hosted them and showed them around Osaka and got the opportunity to appear on the show (after the 39min mark)
World Party Japan!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've seen and done many great things during my travels as well as been through some rather unsettling ones. All we can do is push forward and learn from everything we experience. Even if we can't meetup, I'm up for meeting and sharing my experiences/advice (and hearing it from others) so feel free to send over a message.

For beginners to couch surfing, make sure you really read the profiles of the people you are wanting to stay with. (Especially those in big cities; we get many requests) We understand that writing many CS requests can be a bit much (and a bit of copy and paste isn't horrible) but all requests should be personal, to the person you are wanting to stay with. Why do you want to stay there/with that person? Why are you traveling? - It really helps you stand out :)

Also, a cool idea I came across surfing in San Francisco, is this site, similar to CS except you're just sharing a place to stay, you're sharing everyday things. A cool borrowing network.
