About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see everything. The world, the people, the cultures. I don't believe that life is too short to experience everything.

ABOUT ME

These are always the hardest to fill out. Let's see. I consider myself an open person. When I hear about things, no matter how contrary to my experience they may be, I want to know more. The world is an inconceivably huge place, and I intend to see everything I possibly can.

I'm a pretty energetic person. I am sarcastic and cynical, bitter and awkward, but I love new experiences and meeting new people.

I like to write and participate in any kind of art. I am currently in love with psychology and intend to devote my life to the study and treatment of mental illness.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live? One good turn deserves another? I'm not sure. I believe that if people of the world just let themselves experience new things, they'd see that whatever fears and reservations they had were entirely irrational. No answers are certain. There is always more to see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I, unfortunately, cannot host any couch surfers. But I would love to get to know people. I can show someone around the dirty Jersey or the dirty New York. I love hole-in-the-wall eateries and dive bars. My tastes have a very wide range, so I'm pretty much up for anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Puerto Rico, Miami and Pittsburgh (kinda). Each time has been amazing. CS is packed with some of the most interesting and strange (in a good way) people I've ever met. Also, nice. People are so nice it's frightening :)

Interests

As I said, I'm into psychology, writing, art, capoeira, history...and on and on. I like learning about new cultures. I really enjoy exploring old cities like the Mayan pyramids in Mexico.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Regina Spektor, Eagles of Death Metal, Muse, Ting Tings, Golgol Bordello, The Hold Steady, the Dandy Warhols, Artic Monkeys...and on and on
Movies: V for Vendetta, Little Miss Sunshine, anything by Pixar, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Slumdog Millionaire, basically anything boliwood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've written several novels, all unpublished, all at least four hundred pages. I wrote my honors thesis on medieval culture, but in the form of a historical fiction novel. I've seen pieces of the world here and there, but not near, near enough.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach a little about theories of the mind and memory. I've also done a good amount of work tutoring writing, of both essays and creative work.

I'd love to learn more Spanish and other languages.
