About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I am a French anthropologist, working as a postdoc in Germany. Originally a specialist of China, where I lived for over 2 years, I also do field research in Madagascar.

PHILOSOPHY

Achieve your dreams!

Rien n'est à rêver, tout est à vivre!

Interests

Social sciences, reading novels, writing, art, photography, discovering other ways of life and meeting people with different backgrounds and opinions to exchange, cycling, going out, have a walk in nature, read poetry, going to disco... I am also very much in sports. I am always on a bike, I practice Kungfu, and I swim every week. Always open to new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

OK. I confess I am most of the time busy reading social sciences or philosophy stuff. But don't imagine it as snobbish or pedant. I am just fond of everything that helps me to think about life, to understand the way we live. And I am otherwise totally open to all the kinds of books, movies, games or experiences that give me other points of view on it...
About music, I love hip hop (the underground version of it), but I think I can appreciate almost everything. I love as well jazz, and I am open to things as diverse as classic, opera, soul or electro...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping in a Tibetan house and being attacked by fleas? Having worked for 3 months as a French guy in a Spanish hotel in London and learned English with a very strange accent there? Attending Chinese weddings for my thesis research? Going to fish with local fishermen on a traditional wooden boat in Madagascar?

Teach, Learn, Share

My experience of life in China, the questions of the social construction of gender, sexuality and sentiments.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Few time, unfortunately, but kindness and a decent couch.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malaysia, Monaco, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
