Traveling around Central America this summer. I'm in Nicaragua for a few weeks and I'm hoping to go to Honduras at some point. You want to discover some

ABOUT ME

I'm a special education teacher who loves helping children with special needs. I now teach kindergarten level in Montreal, Canada. I traveled a lot around South East Asia and worked in Australia and Bangkok. Now learning Spanish while I travel in Central America. Love this language !

I'm an easy going person, I'm open minded and very curious. I like to meet new people everywhere I go. I think it is the best way to discover a country. I love to go to music festivals, try different sports, hang out with friends, have a few drinks, good laughs, have crazy conversations and new challenges!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried couch surfing once in Kyoto but I had a bad experience, the guy hadn't been honest about his intentions so I didn't stay at his place (it was safier that way i'm sure!). Thankfully I had much better couchsurfing experiences in Australia! I met many couchsurfers around South East Asia and it reminded me that the best way to experience a country's culture is to have the opportunity to stay and spend time with locals or expats who know the place well and who are eager to share their knowledge with us.

Intereses

I prefer rock/alternative music but I like a lot of other stuff too: Angus & Julia Stone, The Black Keys, City and Colour, Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend, Patrick Watson, Andrew Bird, Xavier Rudd, Muse, The strokes, Radiohead, Wolfmother, Red hot chili peppers, Jack Johnson, Wintersleep, Queens of the stone age, 30 seconds to mars, Sublime...
Always open to find new music bands through people I meet :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

I tried the deep water soloing (rock climbing) in Thailand and that was the craziest experience of my life!
I went skydiving once and it was amazing!
I did some hitchhiking while on a camping trip in Canada.
I drove all the way across Canada nonstop with 2 people in 3 days!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I love teaching and learning and I really enjoy when people are curious to learn from others as well. I'm always happy to teach some French or English and learn other languages. Most countries where I go, I try to do cooking classes so that I can share my new skills with my friends later.
