About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To exist.

ABOUT ME

I'm passionate about languages and other cultures, and I'd love to hear about your homeland and your trips. If you can help me improve my French, Spanish, or Italian in the process, even better!

PHILOSOPHY

Freedom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I might not be the best person to take you to night clubs, but I'll engage in conversation about pretty much anything. I'd also be happy to show the city around, although I have moved recently and I'm a stranger in my own city as well for the time being.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I signed up quite a while ago, but didn't do really anything about it, waiting for my career to settle a little. It finally did, so I decided to give it another shot now.

Interests

Music is my passion: American and European rock/metal, classical, world music, soundtracks, celtic. Not too much into Brazilian stuff, though.

I'm really into History as well. I love learning new stuff as much as I like to explain stuff about my own place.

Plus movies, travel, fiction books (specially fantasy ones, but also sci-fi), human rights, anthropology, sciences, food, and nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: rock, metal, world music, soundtracks, some pop, classical.

Movies: I stand equal chances of enjoying cult European movies as much as a Hollywood action one.

Books: I do love fantasy stuff. I dropped reading anything not Law-related while I was studying for civil servant tests (it's quite a big deal in Brazil) and now I'm reading Harry Potter and re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire in languages I'm less familiar with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been in two quite good rock bands from Rio. I've also wrote soundtracks for a few cellphone games and have taken part in the first Video Games Live in Brazil (2006).

Aside from that, I've had good experiences with my previous job as a translator - and my current one is quite interesting, too.

I've spent a few years just studying, with little spare time and even less money. Only now will I have the opportunity to travel a little bit more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk and learn about politics, history, and economy from here or any place else.

Like I said, I don't know a lot about Brazilian music, but I'm really into underground rock and metal, and I also love to chat about both music gear and exotic musical instruments. I'm a little rusty in that regard, though.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United States
