ABOUT ME

As it comes to self-description lists are way easier, so I'll give a short one now, and keep filling this cubical in the future (an honest request: don't read it as a hardcore manifest, this is just a experimental presentation of my harmless colorful self):
Human being | feminist | queer | socialist | vegeterian | atheist | music addict | yoga practitioner | animal lover |
In addition I play the flute and sing well, dance awkwardly but passionately, own too many shoes, and there's never a time I feel like washing the dishes so unless my boyfriend is willing to keep doing the same karmayoga again and again my kitchen sink frequently overflows (but as a guest I always do the dishes!).

PHILOSOPHY

“Why we ask questions: Questions are the basis of human freedom. Our mind, as a part of our self experience, is curious and always challenging that part of us that can think about the essence of things. We interpret our lives all the time - with unconscious deep conceptualization - and these conceptualization raise questions.
Why did I feel the way I felt yesterday when I spoke with X? What is the meaning of my answer? Why I chose to spend time in X's company and not Y's? And how it changed my attitude toward Y?"
― Christopher Bollas, The Infinite Question

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined couchsurfing and started hosting in Israel on August 2009. A few month later I moved to Italy, have been hosted in a few countries around Europe, and hosted in my Vanitian appartment.
Now I'm hosting in my appartment in Tel Aviv whenever I can, and surfing other couches when I'm traveling or when I'm too drunk~tired to get back home and my friends let me crash on their couch (That almost never happened, alright? don't take me too seriously!)

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many I can mention, I will write a few names that pop to my head now (this will change by the next hour), and it may be apparent that my taste is quite eclectic. I won't add here a full list of favorite composers or writers at the moment 'cause it will take to much time and will never be complete, I'll just mention that I'm very open to any cultural treasures people share with me, and that generally I like my art to be deep, not just entertaining (which I like too, but not all the time). Oh, and on the right mood I might extremely enjoy trashy~poppy~makesyoudancelikeNickiMinaj kind of music. It's sometimes embarrassing, but fun.

Movies: Amelie, The Reader, Shortbus, Monsoon Wedding, Slumdog Millionaire, Prespolis, This must be the place, 10 things I hate about you, anything by Gondry.

Music: PJ harvey, Tune Yards, Fiona Apple, Rufus Wainwright, St. Vincent, Regina Spector, Laura Marling, Joanna Newsom, Ester Rada, Paris Combo, Bjork, Other lives, White Hinterland, The Knife, SIA, Feist, Anna Calvi, Andrew Bird, Cat Power, Bowerbirds, Gonjasufi, James Black, Great lake swimmers, Animal Collective, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, The xx, Iron and Wine, Elbow, Bat for Lashes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I had to choose only one it would definitely be "Camino de Santiago", an 800 kilometers pilgrims course in the north of Spain which I hiked on September 2008.
It took me one month to walk from San jan pier de port (France) to Santiago de compostella (Spain), and on my way I encountered so many unbelievably amazing people and places. So this is it.

Teach, Learn, Share

First thing that comes to my mind regarding teaching is food, what a surprising association, so... food-wise, I can only teach you how to make great Tahini, and show you some places with amazing vegan food in Tel Aviv, including divine Humus. Also, I would love to learn cooking from everyone who are patient enough with me, 'cause I'm definitely not a natural cook (but I enjoy cooking very much!)
I can teach some basic psychology and feminist studies. and I would love to learn some philosophy and anthropology.
I love sharing opinions, music, and simply some quality time.
