ABOUT ME

I've found my passion in life and that is to travel and meet as much people as possible and eat as much food as I can stand!
My vocation public service and volunteer work... That means, I have my dream job because it pays enough and leaves me ample time and opportunity to do what I truly love.
I travel a LOT to conferences, symposiums and meetings, rarely for actual vacations.
I love meeting people and learning how they go about their lives and what worries them and makes them happy. This is the real reason I've been in couchsurfing for so long and plan on keep doing it.

I can teach you Spanish!

I can talk to you about politics and history of Puerto Rico and show you places that almost no "tourist" gets to see....

I have an available couch and then some!

I may be available to drive you around, hang out, take you to and pick you up from airport, etc.

It all depends on my availability at work.

Visitar Costa Rica y tener la oportunidad tan maravillosa de hospedarme y compartir algunos días de nuestra estadía en el país con una pareja encantadora y muy dispuesta.

Tener reincidentes en casa y hacer planes para visitar a muchos de los que he conocido (To have repeat offender and makes plans to receive them again or to visit them in their houses).... That gives meaning to my life!

Interests

People, meeting new and interesting people, outdoor activities rivers, beach and forests (being in contact with nature), reading everything, public health, live music, culture (in all its forms), cooking and eating out

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Monkey chasing in Ometepe, Volcano watching in Masaya, Nicaragua, and Alajuela, Costa Rica. Visit Rincón de la Vieja in Costa Rica and get in a volcanic mud bath. Run the rapids at Corobici River, Costa Rica. Spend 2 weeks in Mona Island, do research at the Caribbean Primate Research Center in Sabana Seca Puerto Rico. Kayak in the three Bio Bays in Puerto Rico, camp in Vieques with a Chilean Couchsurfer... Spend New Year's Eve in New York City at Times Square!
Host 7 people at the same time during last Christmas Season in Puerto Rico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Spanish.

I can teach you to cook puertorrican food, classics like mofongo, tostones, amarillos... sofrito, coquito, etc....

I can take you to non-tourist places and show you what Puerto Rico has to offer...

I can teach you about primates and behavior...
