About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to experience different cultures, be it through visiting a new place or meeting new people.

ABOUT ME

Traveling is one of my favorite things.
I learned many things from traveling. I
learned that language barrier cannot stop one from exploring and
enjoying a foreign city/country. Moreover, traveling forces one to be
more open and receptive to other people’s kindness, whether it be
asking for directions or finding a good place to eat. It is an
enriching experience to see places and things I’ve only seen in books
and television. Most importantly, traveling introduces one to
different cultures and different ways of living. Being a foreigner in
a different country forces one to embrace ethnic diversity and,
consequently, beckons one to examine and let go of personal biases and judgments.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the golden rule: do unto other what you want others to do unto you
I believe in good Karma
I believe in Positive thinking.

Traveling reminded me that people are generally good. I dont want to blame the media/news. But we are constantly bombarded with stories of who got killed, shot, mugged, and bombed. We are unconsciously taught to be afraid. When in fact these stories are more isolated than they are a general occurrences.

However, I do encourage one to be CAREFUL. You have to research the places you go to and take precautions. Most importantly, TRUST AND FOLLOW your instincts/intuition.

Interests

As the song goes, New York is a concrete jungle. Believe it or not, there is so many things to explore and to do. I've been living here for close to 10 years, I have seen a lot but I havent seen them all.
Since it is a melting pot of different cultures. The food here is great! from the Halal truck in every corner to, fastfoods (not just mcdonalds), to the fancy schmancy restaurants New York has them.
There are museums to check out, and most are free. Even those that require a fee, they have days/hours you can come for free.

Camping, Hiking, Kayaking, Wallclimbing <--- outdoor activities I wish I could do more often

Foreign Films and Independent films <---I'm not biased against Blockbuster and Million dollar budget films. I find that there is something quaint, simple, and honest in how realities (that are not necessarily universal) are examined in these films.
