ABOUT ME

Im 19 I just moved to Lakeland Florida to attend college. I am an art major, I currently want to work in the field of photography but Im really open to anything. Some people think that getting a degree in art will get me nowhere in life and Im just doing it because its an "easy" major. Quiet the opposite I must argue. I find art everywhere I look whether it be in a visual sense, in a sense of sound or smell. I spend the majority of my time in the art studio struggling between academics and passion. It is a major that requires dedication and patience.

Im going to italy over the summer to study photography and Im very excited. I love to travel and this will be my first time out of the country. It driving me into a debt that Im sure will follow me for the rest of my life, but I hope that my travels will be worth it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of right now, I am on standstill. I can't open my home to anyone, because technically it's not my home. I have quite a bit of experience traveling, but nothing out of the United States. I joined CS because I plan on traveling in my future and would like to start building friendships and I would also like to hear about other peoples adventures. I am open to showing people around st. Petersburg, Florida if your ever in the area.

Interests

I am interested in photography, and art in general. I love to hang out with my friends, maybe cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. I am pretty much up for anything, although I'm not much of a sports person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love scary movies. My favorite must be 28 weeks later Ive seen it so many times. My favorite action movie the Boondock Saints. My favorite comedy is Pinapple Express. My favorite Chick Flick Is the Notebook. My favorite drama is Fight club.

I also love music. Anything from Bach to Nine inch nails. Whatever reaches my soul and moves my body.

I like the ideas of Chuck Palahniuk. I dont read much, but I hope to change that. I find the poetry of Shakespears time captivating, yet hard to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feed and clothe the homeless and watch their faces light up on Christmas. I've hiked miles through the Appalachian mountains when I was a kid, I've never seen anything so beautiful. I use to go white water rafting and skiing. I helped a girl who was afraid of heights finish a ropes course. ( I was terrified, I'm afraid of heights too.) Each experiance I find very rewarding and the next step to bettering myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

My first trip by myself, and I packed a carry on bag full of shoes while my bag full of clothes was checked on the plane. Bad Idea. The airport lost my luggage, and I was stuck with 5 pairs of shoes but nothing to wear them with. Since then, I have cut down on the amount of clothes and accessories I take with me, and only take the essentials. Who needs all that anyways?
